Zachary Michael Kanoza, age 25, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at home in Gallatin.
Zach was born on January 20, 1997 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Michael and Nicole Kanoza. He lived in Rockford, Michigan, until the age of ten. Then his family moved to Tennessee.
He graduated from Beech High School in 2015. Then he attended Volunteer State Community College where he obtained his associates degree in history. From there, he began serving in the United States Army, 449th MP Company, in the position of Military Police. He only had one year left of his six year commitment. One of which was an active duty assignment in Guantanamo Bay. He loved honoring and serving his country.
It is also no secret that he loved the Detroit Lions, with a special adoration for Barry Sanders. As a child he participated in just about every sport; football being his favorite. Zach really loved people; helping everyone out of his huge heart! Many, many friends loved Zach and will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Jim and Lynn Hussey, Sonia Kanoza, Ray and Cindy Kanoza; and his uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia Hussey.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Long Hollow Baptist Church, 3031 Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
