WILLINE “DEAN” KINNARD ADAMSON

March 16, 1943 – November 26, 2024

Willine “Dean” Adamson passed away on November 26, 2024, in Gallatin, TN at the age of 81 years old. Willine was born on March 16, 1943, in Gainesboro, TN to the late Sherman and Grace Kinnard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death the prior week by her husband of 65 years, Johnny Lee Adamson; daughter, Leanne Adamson Morris; sister, Linda Witt; and brothers, Sherman Kinnard, Jr., William Kinnard, and James Kinnard.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Herron (Leslie); grandchildren, Christina Evert (Chad), Erica Twidle (Eric), Olivia Herron (Reggie), Austin Herron, and Jonathan Morris; great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Canaan, and Caleb Evert, Della and Reed Twidle, and Braylin Tunstill; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Willine was a loving Wife, nurturing Mother, Nanny and friend to so many that will miss her dearly. She had a tender heart but was tough as steel. She was a kind and attentive listener, always ready to share in laughter and brighten someone’s day. Her greatest love was taking care of her family and anyone else that crossed her path. When her children were older, she had an in-home daycare for several years so that she could continue doing what she loved the most. Later, she proudly worked for 25 years at Nationwide Studios where she was known as “Mama Dean” by most of her co-workers.

A private celebration of the life of Willine, along with her husband Johnny, will be held at a later date.
