William “Bill” Jennings Butler, age 86, of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.
Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved going out to eat, loved bread and cookies, and was always asking “What’s for lunch?”, and “Where we goin’ for dinner?” He was a Veteran of the US Army, member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville for over 60 years and enjoyed UT football.
In addition to his parents, Carrine and Vertis Butler, Sr., he is preceded in death by his son, David, and brother, Ray.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marguerite Butler; daughters Teresa (Jay) Butler Sterrett and Linda (Ron) Butler Attanasio; brother Vertis (Martha) Butler; and grandchildren, Ryan Attanasio, Meagan (Cory) Willis, and Katie Braumiller.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Austin & Bell Hendersonville followed by a Graveside Service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Chesser officiating, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
