Victor Hugo Ortega Martinez

Victor Hugo Ortega Martinez, age 32 of Gallatin, passed away November 13, 2023 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

Victor was born in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, where he lived until he was 9 years old, he then moved to the United States and has made Gallatin his home for the past 19 years. He enjoyed painting and eventually owned his own painting business. Victor had a great sense of humor; he was always friendly and easily made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, dancing, singing, cooking, and spending time with his family.

Victor is survived by his mother, Karina Martinez; stepfather, Rodolfo Ruiz; father, Victor Ortega; his daughter, Yaiza Jobeth Ortega Calvillo; Yaiza’s mother, Betzy Calvillo; sister, Andrea Martinez; brother, Oliver Martinez; grandfather, Pablo Martinez; grandmother, Enedina Ortiz; brothers/uncles, Pablo Martinez, Victor Martinez, and Miguel Martinez.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville.

Víctor Hugo Ortega Martínez, de 32 años de Gallatin, falleció el 13 de noviembre de 2023 en el Centro Médico Vanderbilt en Nashville.

Víctor nació en Morelia, Michoacán, México, donde vivió hasta los 9 años, luego se mudó a los Estados Unidos y ha hecho de Gallatin su hogar durante los últimos 19 años. Le gustaba pintar y finalmente tuvo su propio negocio de pintura. Víctor tenía un gran sentido del humor; siempre fue amigable y hacía amigos fácilmente donde quiera que fuera. Le gustaba andar en motocicleta, bailar, cantar, cocinar y pasar tiempo con su familia.

A Víctor le sobreviven su madre, Karina Martínez; padrastro, Rodolfo Ruiz; padre, Víctor Ortega; su hija, Yaiza Jobeth Ortega Calvillo; la madre de Yaiza, Betzy Calvillo; hermana, Andrea Martínez; hermano, Oliver Martínez; abuelo, Pablo Martínez; abuela, Enedina Ortiz; hermanos/tíos, Pablo Martínez, Víctor Martínez y Miguel Martínez.

El velorio con la familia será el sábado 25 de noviembre de 2023, de 10:00 a.m. hasta las 14:00 en Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside en Hendersonville.
