Tony Michael Janco, age 66, of Gallatin, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in Gallatin, Tennessee.
He was born on December 30, 1954, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, to the late Ernest Janco and Katherine Janco. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Tony attended Madison High school and then Volunteer State Community College, where he played baseball. Tony eventually earned his Master’s degree from Western Kentucky University. Tony was a proud veteran and served in the US Navy, as a diver. He was retired from the Hendersonville Fire department, Captain, where he helped protect the citizens of Hendersonville for 32 years. He also was named firefighter of the year in 1988. Tony was also a volunteer for the Sumner County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), where he was named volunteer of the year in 2009. Tony was a community servant at heart and he believed in giving back to the community, doing so joyfully.
Tony is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Felecia Janco; children, Amber Cutrell, Brandon Janco (Stephanie), Austin Janco; grandchildren, Kealey, Emma, Tristen, Tagen, Jade; and brother, Frank Janco (Audrey).
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Janco.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 16, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1729 Stop 30 Rd, Hendersonville, at 3 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time.
