Tom Darnall

Tom Darnall, 64, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on January 14, 2022. Tom was born on September 3, 1957 in Columbus, Indiana to the late Gene W and Betty Jo Darnall. He was raised in a loving Christian home.

He is survived by his wife TJ Darnall; daughter Heather (Todd) Macomber; son Jared (Amy) Darnall; granddaughters Ellie Darnall, Reese Macomber, and Riley Macomber; sister Susan (Dave) Rand and 3 nieces and nephews; brother Tim (Patty) Darnall and 2 nieces; sister Becky (Randy) Woodall and 2 nieces; sister Joanna (Darrell) VonBergen and a niece and nephew; Brother Tony (Kelly) Darnall and a niece and nephew; and brother Ted (Tess) Darnall and 2 nephews.

Tom was involved in the surveying profession for most of his life and had an accomplished career. He was the son of a Professional Land Surveyor and was a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Tennessee and Kentucky. His dad and mom were very active in church and missions which led Tom into the life of serving to the needs of others. He had a heart for missions and spreading the gospel to the unreached. This was at a local level as well as in other countries. Tom and his wife spent many years traveling to Kenya and other countries such as Malawi, Mexico, Tanzania, and Thailand. He raised his kids with the same passion and they took trips with their dad and mom to foreign lands. He enjoyed spending time with his kids hiking, fishing, and golfing. Tom enjoyed spending time with his oldest grandchild playing games and going to watch her perform color guard. His latest adventure was exploring a cave with the family and the grandchildren learning Papo’s love of the outdoors. He also enjoyed camping with his family where the grandchildren dug for diamonds and found special rocks. Quite the adventure there.
