She attended Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church until she couldn't attend anymore. Then she attended with the Swaggart's every Sunday morning for her worship.

She owned and ran the Dairy Dip in New Deal for several years. It was bought in 1972 when she left Chicago and moved to Portland.

She loved painting and ceramics. She won several blue ribbons for her pieces.

She was very talented and well known for always trying to create with her crafts. Whether it be sewing, baking, crocheting, flower arrangements, and even cake decorating.

She loved talking. And would sit for hours on top of hours, telling you about her life. From her childhood to the present day. She had the keenest mind for details and dates of her life. It was one of the things she loved to do most, live in the past. She had an iron fist. But was very vulnerable at her weakest.

She had a huge love for animals. She always worried if they had enough food and water. They were treated the same if not better than the kids! If you know us, you know our dogs, her dogs, and how fat they are. She would always share whatever she had with them. Our fish have started looking pretty healthy too!

She had a fierce love for her family and her animals. Her constant companion Maggie, her little Chihuahua of 12 years is buried with her. Even at the age of 92, she always talked about getting another car! She loved driving, and riding around the countryside.

Her final resting place is in Old Brush Cemetery, where she will be placed with her parents and her Maggie.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Old Brush Cemetery in Portland at 1:00 P.M.
