Teresa Ann Butler

August 7, 1957 — November 14, 2022

Teresa Ann Butler was born on August 7th, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio. She entered her eternal home in Heaven on November 14th, 2022. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Horace G. Brown and Ella M. Gilliam; and her parents, Leslie and Betty Lamb. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Peter Butler; her daughter, Christy Flansburg (Mike); her grandchildren, Alexander Humphrey and Robert Flansburg; brother, Bruce Lamb (Judy); and sisters, Patricia Allen and Wanda Kimbro (Darryl).

Teresa was a devoted wife and was a banker most of her life, until her MS forced her into retirement at an early age. She was lovingly known to her friends as "Reesy" and "Sister Butler". She had many friends who she loved talking to daily. Her friends say she was the glue that held them all together and she was always checking on them and calling to tell them she loved them.

Teresa's only daughter and her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She loved the three of them whole heartedly and gave them anything they wanted, but best of all, she gave them her unconditional love. For friends and family, she was always drying tears and sharing love. She loved her church and never wanted to miss a service.

Teresa's family gained more extended family in December, 2021, when Highpoint Hospice took over her care. They came into her life at a time when she was scared and uncertain, but gave her so much love and care. Our family is forever grateful for their love and support through this last year. Teresa always welcomed any of them with open arms.

While Teresa may not be home with us in this world now, we know that she is watching over us now and still loves us unconditionally. If we had to sum up the life of Teresa Butler, in one word, it would be LOVE. If she was here today she would tell us not to judge anyone and to love everyone, and hold your family and friends close to your heart. She will be missed but we know she is walking hand in hand with her mom and dad and that is what she truly wanted.
