Suzanne Harris Conviser, age 86 of Gallatin, passed away peacefully March 5, 2021. Mrs. Conviser was born on December 12, 1934 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late Cecil Harris and the late Martha Poole Dowlen. She was raised in Springfield and Nashville and was a graduate of Isaac Litton High School where she was a majorette. Suzanne was a wonderful homemaker and a talented seamstress, also talented in millinery and knitting. Being a beautiful woman, she was often asked to model and did so for businesses and the newspaper. Suzanne was a talented ballroom dancer and danced on tv several times. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Fontaine Dowlen and sister, Jessie Jo Jernigan. Mrs. Conviser is survived by her husband of 29 years, James Whitney Conviser; daughter, Celia Corley Riemenschneider (Bob); granddaughters, Heather Murphy and Hannah Murphy Wall (Darrin); great-grandchildren, Hawthorne Murphy Phillips, Juniper Murphy Phillips and Madelyn Wall; stepchildren, Doug Conviser and Kelli Conviser Baldwin; step-granddaughter, Katelyn Conviser; and brother, Gary Harris. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in Crestview Memory Gardens. A Celebration of Life honoring Mrs. Conviser will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at God Why Church in Hendersonville with visitation one hour prior to the service, Pastor John McClendon will officiate both services.
