Susan Frihse, 68, passed away on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on February 17th , 1954 to the late Col. Philip and Bettie Keating Sr. in Bedford, MA.
As a child she lived throughout the United States, traveling wherever the Air Force led her father. She graduated from high school in 1972 and earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Florida International University. She began her career with Eastern Airlines and later became a business owner. She was married in 1978 and had twin girls in 1984. She later married her second husband, Paul Frihse, in 2000 and lived happily on Lake Lanier. She enjoyed boating, swimming, cooking, crafting, reading, music, and gardening. Most of all, she loved her family and friends. She was a beloved wife, mother, and Nana who will be missed dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Phil Keating and her husband, Paul Frihse.
She is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Lance) Newton of Valdosta, GA and Kathy (Jason) Johnson of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren, Eli Newton, Blake Newton, and Calla Johnson; sister-in-law, Judy Keating of Christiansburg, VA; and nieces, extended family and friends.
The family will be holding a celebration of her life beginning at 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 30th at the Cumberland Old Hickory Yacht Club, 165 Sunset Drive, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
