Stephen Cameron Lankford

Stephen Cameron, (Cam) Lankford, passed away on December 7, 2020 in Nashville TN after a brief illness. Beloved husband, father, son, and brother, Cam was an avid Alabama football fan, enjoyed motorcycle riding and loved time spent with family and friends. Gifted with many skills he found a career with the Tennessee Valley Authority, Widows Creek and Gallatin Fossil Plants for 30 years as a Unit Operator.
Cam was born on August 7, 1962 in Scottsboro Alabama to Henry and Mary Lankford. He graduated Scottsboro High School, class of 1980. He resided in Scottsboro until he moved to Gallatin TN to continue his career with TVA.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years Camille Lankford, of Gallatin TN, his daughter Stephanie Lankford, son, Khalil Sharrief, grandchildren Harmony Little, Serenity Lankford, brother, Taylor Lankford and wife Vicky, Aunt, Deborah Joyner, loving nephews, Rashad Lankford, Jordan Lankford, and Jonathan Lankford, beloved cousins Roy Wellington, Anthony Joyner, Koran Joyner and Yolandra Joyner, and a host of family from the Lankford and Jordan family tree.
Cam was preceded in death by his Mother Mary Jo Lankford, Father Henry Cameron Lankford, Grandmother Irene Jordan, and Grandfather Archie Stapler, brother Miles Lankford.
Cam will be remembered for his humor, smile, work ethic and his overall enthusiasm toward life. He was a conversationalist willing to engage you on any topic. His zeal toward life was contagious and made you feel great just to be around him. He will be missed greatly.
Memorial services are private for immediate family members only due to the pandemic.
