Gary "Smoke" Crossett, age 73 of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away Friday March 29th, 2019 from his long battle with cancer.
Smoke lived out his dream to be on a stage and to entertain the people in front of him and to see the world. He was a funny guy and a prankster who was always ready to tell a story and make you laugh. He loved his family dearly, he loved music and he loved to just strike up a conversation and talk. It’s comforting to know he is now pain free and at peace with our Lord and Savior, and that there are so many loved ones before him there, to welcome him to his new home eternal. He will be sorely missed and always loved by all of his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Durwood and Bernice Crossett; and grandson Layne Wilkes Crossett. He is survived by his sons Gary (Chique) Crossett and Matthew Ryan (Leah) Crossett.; daughter Tresia (Aaron) Michael; brother Bobby (Jean) Crossett; grandchildren Zachery, Alicia, Gwen, and Ethan Crosset, Tyler Marlin, Lauren, Brendon and Kaleb Michael; and great-grandchildren Bailey and Sidney Eing, Sophia Walker, and Chloe Michael.
His family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until his Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 p.m. at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville with Rev. Rhonda Lee officiating.
