Shannon Murray Hixson, age 59 of Hendersonville, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2025 at his home. Shannon was born in Salina, Kansas to the late Walter H. Hixson, Sr. and Linda Faye Fritschka.
In addition to his father, Shannon was preceded in death by his step-father, John A. Fritschka, Jr.; brother, Timothy Hixson; and sister, Malinda Hixson.
Shannon is survived by his wife and lifelong best friend, Ronda Hixson; daughters, Megan Hixson and Randee Wilson (Roy); grandchildren, Leah Faith and Beau Hixson; step-children, Tiffany Durham (Tommy Waight), Stephanie Demonbreun (Brandon), and Alex Durham (Makayla White); step-grandchildren, James, Tristan, Bently, AnaBelle, Emmett, Charlee, and Axel; mother, Linda Fritschka; brothers, Walter A. Hixson, Jr., Jason Hixson, and George Hixson; sisters, Sherrie Fritschka, Rebecca Mortimore, Jessica Hixson, and Sara Hixson; step-mother, Brenda “Doodle” Hixson; niece and nephew, Jennifer Teague and Hunter Hixson; and several additional nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed motorcycles and loved to hunt; Shannon was an electrician by trade and truly loved his work. Shannon was a giving and caring person; he always made sure that people were taken care of. He loved to help others and loved his family dearly.
Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 18, 2025 from the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 12:00 P.M. until time of service.
