Ruth Ann Brewington

Ruth Ann Brewington, age 78 of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024 at her home. Ruth was born on January 21, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Ione and Allan Ruch. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Brewington; and her brother, Dennis Ruch. 

She is survived by her sons, Danny Brewington and Robin Brewington; brothers, Bob Ruch and Ed Ruch; granddaughter, Karsen Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friend who was like a sister, Sherry Meadows. 

Ruth was a sweet ol’ lady who will be remembered for her great sense of humor; she was cracking jokes until the very end. She loved people and was nice to everyone, even those who were abusive and selfish. Ruth truly cared about her family and was proud of every one of them; she was proud to be a grandmother. She loved children, all children. She took care of many people’s children through the years—showering each one with love, no matter whose family they belonged to. She enjoyed gardening, coloring, scrapbooking, and reading. 

A celebration of her life service will be held on Sunday, October 27th, at the Lighthouse on the Lake, 133 Sanders Ferry Road in Hendersonville, TN. 

The venue will be open from 2pm – 4pm. 

The ceremony will be from 2:30pm – 3pm.
