Ron Sine

Ron Sine, age 82 of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Carroll of Lavaca, Arkansas and his sister and brother-in-law, Jo Francis and Hugh Jones of Chesterfield, Missouri. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Sine; children, Brad Sine (Tonya) and Jennifer Mathis (Jeff); and grandchildren, Tucker Sine, Tate Sine, Grady Sine, Alex Mathis, and Claire Mathis.

Ron was born in Susanville, California and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a 1963 graduate of the University of Tulsa where he majored in business and played football-he enjoyed cheering for Tulsa and was also an avid golfer. Ron and his family are longtime members of First Baptist Church Hendersonville where he was a member of the Bracey Sunday School Class. Ron loved his church and Sunday school class, a good debate about anything relevant and most of all his family.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at First Baptist Church Hendersonville with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating. Ron's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Ron will be laid to rest at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
