Robbie Williams Vance, age 86 of Tucker, Georgia passed away May 10, 2023. Robbie was born on April 14, 1937 in Trousdale County, Tennessee to the late Will Williams and the late Florence Cassetty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Kirk Miller, eight sisters, and two brothers. Robbie is survived by her husband, Lee B. Vance; sister, Marian “Tootie” Edwards (Shelley); numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Robbie was born in Trousdale County but raised in Old Hickory and Madison, Tennessee. She was a graduate of the 1954 class of Madison High School. After high school she moved to Atlanta to work as a stewardess for Southern Airways. Robbie spent the rest of her adult life in and around Atlanta; she was an active member of Briarcliff United Methodist Church in Atlanta where she was involved in anything they needed. Each Wednesday she would be at the church cooking for those in need. Known for her biscuits, Robbie became known as the “Biscuit Queen” by the pastor. She also worked for the Dekalb County School System as a bus driver for special needs children; she loved all the children who rode her bus and they loved her.
Robbie’s family will gather for a graveside service on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Bro. Jon Briggs officiating.
