Charles Frederick "Rick" Richards

Charles Frederick “Rick” Richards, age 69 of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, August 29.
Rick was a hard-working Christian man and a loving husband, father and grandfather. After working in the machine industry since 1970, he retired from the Nashville Machine Company as General Manager. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1966-1969 on a river patrol boat in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Wilma; his children, Chuck and Chad Richards, Elizabeth (Keith) Woodard, and Matthew (Lita) Belcher; grandchildren, Canon, Kellan, Dylan and Kensi Richards, Andrew and Christopher Woodard, and Eli and Isla Belcher; and sister, Debra Wicke. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laverne; and a sister, Linda Richards.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1 at 10am until his Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11am at First Baptist Church Hendersonville with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating.
The family requests no flowers, but in lieu of, donations may be made to the Sumner County Veterans Home at 1105 South Water Ave., Gallatin, TN 37066 or the First Baptist Church Hendersonville at 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd., Hendersonville, TN 37075.
