Richard Scot Medsker, age 56 of Hendersonville, passed away at his home in the early afternoon on Saturday, February 4, 2017. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on January 3, 1961. Richard was a devoted family man, a loving father, grandfather, brother and son. He loved doting on his only grandson, Silas. He enjoyed Hendersonville High School Commando Football while his sons were playing. He was a man of tremendous faith and he touched the lives of so many people.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Eugene Medsker. He is survived by his mother, Irene Francis Weis Medsker; sons, Scot Allen (Mandy) Medsker of Phoenix, AZ and Shaun Andrew (Amber) Medsker of Hendersonville; his daughter, Sarah (Chris) Haston of Nashville; his grandson, Silas Medsker; sisters, Debbi (Mark) Wurfel and Sandy (Dave) Crockett; brothers, Robert (Michelle) Medsker, Bill (Carol) Medsker, and Tim (Tammy) Medsker; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of his Life will begin with visitation on Tuesday, February 7th , from 4 – 8 pm and again on Wednesday, February 8th from 10 – 11 am with his service to immediately follow with Rev. Aaron Allison officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers. All services will be held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Hendersonville with interment to follow in Beech Cemetery.
