Rev. Jerry Wayne Peace, Sr.

Rev. Jerry Wayne Peace, Sr., a resident of Castalian Springs, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on January 31, 1944, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, Jerry was the beloved son of the late James and Eulah Peace.

Jerry's life was marked by his unwavering faith and dedication to his church and family. He met his devoted wife, Joan Peace, at Bell County High School, and they shared nearly 60 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family, including their daughter, Susan Walker, and sons, Wayne Peace and his wife Joy, and Jonathan Peace and his wife Susie. Jerry was a proud grandfather to Kenny Walker, Jr. and his wife Lauren, Brooke Fullam and her husband Lee, and Noah Peace, and a great-grandfather to Cohen Walker.

Jerry served as pastor to four churches over his 55 years of ministry, leaving behind a legacy of faith and friendship among his congregations. His ministry touched countless lives, and he cherished the bonds he formed with his church members.

A service to honor Jerry's life will be held on Sunday at 4 pm on December 8, 2024, at Corum Hill Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Wayne Peace. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until time of service. Graveside service on Monday, December 9, 2024, 10:00 A.M. at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
