Patrol Elizabeth “Penny” Haag, born on March 11, 1924, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the age of 96. Penny left her residence at Park Place Retirement Community in Hendersonville, TN and took up her new residence in Heaven.
Penny was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and playing golf. She was a member of the Hendersonville Women’s Club and she volunteered at the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce. She was a long and faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville and the Love II Sunday School Class. She has been a resident of Hendersonville for over 38 years.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Vernis “Bud” Haag; sons, Allan Lester Haag and Carlton Randolph Haag; parents, Remer and Annie Wrenn of Collins, GA; and grandson, Brent A Haag.
She is survived by her sons, Edward V. (Faye) Haag of Smiths Station, AL, Gregory L. (Susan) Haag of Hendersonville, TN, and Timothy W. (Christine) Haag of Hendersonville, TN; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Haag of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren, Jon Edward (Chelsea) Haag, Eric (Tyra) Haag, Gregory Jr. (Carey) Haag, Crystal (Greg) Atkinson, Andrew (Sara) Haag, Rachel Haag (Art Arcinas); and 6 great-grandchildren also survive.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, June 19 from 11:00 a.m. until her Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 p.m. at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville with Rev. Roger Luther officiating. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
