Patricia Ann Allen

July 26, 1963 — July 1, 2023

Hendersonville, Tennessee

Patricia Ann Allen, a beloved wife, dedicated animal lover, and avid movie buff, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2023, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She was born in Nashville on July 26, 1963, to George Douglas Fitzpatrick and Dorothy Sue Redfin Fitzpatrick.

Growing up in Nashville, Patricia attended the local schools and developed a passion for animals at an early age. This love for furry companions carried on throughout her life. Together with her husband David, they shared a beautiful journey of 30 years of marriage filled with the joy of caring for their cherished pets. Over the years, they welcomed seven cats and six dogs into their home. From Dobermans to Min Pins to Chihuahuas, Patricia trained all of her four-legged friends with unwavering dedication and genuine love for animals.

Beyond her devotion to animals, Patricia had a profound admiration for movies. Her extensive collection of films was a testament to her passion for cinema. Patricia possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of movies and could regale anyone with fascinating trivia about each one. Her enthusiasm for films brought joy not only to herself but also to those fortunate enough to engage in conversations about this art form that she held so close to her heart.

While Patricia leaves behind a legacy of compassion and appreciation for animals and movies, her last days were marked by profound sorrow due to recent losses within her family. Her only child, Timothy Lynn Bidwell, brought immeasurable happiness into Patricia's life. It is with heavy hearts that we mourn Timothy's passing alongside his mother. Additionally, Patricia experienced the tragic loss of her beloved niece Tina Fitzpatrick over Memorial Day weekend. These consecutive losses deeply affected Patricia in ways that can never be fully quantified or expressed in words.

In addition to Timothy and Tina's memory living vividly within those who knew them intimately, Patricia is survived by her devoted husband David Allen, with whom she walked hand in hand on their journey through life. She will also be missed by her only granddaughter, Alayna Bidwell.

The memory of Patricia will also be treasured by her surviving siblings: Nancy Green, Rita Sanchez, Brenda Fitzpatrick, Judy Pence, and Mary Jean McRae. Their shared memories and experiences form a tapestry of family bonds that will continue to endure in the face of this tragic loss.

Patricia Ann Allen was an exceptional woman whose kindness knew no bounds. Whether it was her profound love for animals or her unparalleled knowledge of movies, she touched the lives of all those who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy will live on as a testament to her unwavering dedication to those she held dear.

While we mourn the loss of this remarkable individual, let us also celebrate the vibrant life Patricia lived. In our hearts, she will forever remain a shining star who left an indelible mark on our lives. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and serenity she so richly deserves.
