Norman Dennis Urschel, age 73 of Gallatin, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.
Norman was the most kind, gentle and loving man. He was married 38 years to his loving wife, Barbara. Together they shared many years of love and happiness surrounded by their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed driving small remote cars and planes, a hobby he loved sharing with his great-grandson. Norman was a man of many funny quirks and he loved all things history, traveling, and watched Wheel of Fortune religiously every day.
Other than his wife, he is survived by his children; Robert Wayne Urschel, Lesley (Allen) Curtis and Lisa (Patrick) Bastain, grandchildren; Chad (Tori), Cory (Nacole) and Chelsie (Charlie) Fields, Trevor (Gracie) and Logan Curtis and Kelsey Lee, great-grandchildren; Hunter and Owen Fields and Cruz Curtis and brothers; Roland (Cho) and Fred (Tammy) Urschel.
His family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 27th at Austin and Bell Funeral Home, Hendersonville.
