Nancy Uhles Kimbrough

Nancy Uhles Kimbrough, age 73, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024.  She was born in Old Hickory, TN on December 1, 1950 to the late Willie P. Uhles and Agnes Uhles.  Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry T. Kimbrough; daughters, Tasha Kimbrough Freels (Joe Freels) and Kayce Kimbrough; grandchildren, Lucy Jo Freels, Charlie Freels, Dixie Richards, and Melody Richards; sisters, Peggy Hamilton and Patty Fischer.

Nancy graduated from DuPont High School in 1968 and immediately entered the workforce.  She met the love of her life, Jerry, at the Nashville Fair where they began a 53+ year journey together.  After marriage, they eventually settled in Goodlettsville, TN where they started their family.  As a working Mom, Nancy devoted the better part of her career to the Sumner County School System where she held various positions at Beech Elementary, Madison Creek Elementary and ultimately retired as a Lead Attendance Clerk for the county school system.

As empty nesters, Nancy and Jerry moved to Gallatin, TN where they enjoyed many hobbies including collecting antiques, bird watching, traveling and spending time with each other in their Airstream at their favorite place, Tennessee Cumberland Plateau Campground (TCPC).  

Her family, and really anyone who knew Nancy, will always remember her bright smile that lit up a room, kind heart, encouraging words, calm nature, wise council, sweet disposition, positive attitude, and love that could not be contained.  She always put her family first and will leave behind a legacy of love that will serve as a shining example for generations of her family.

A Celebration of Life for Nancy will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM CST at Long Hollow Church at 3031 Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville, TN  37075, inside the “Legacy Coffee” area located just to the right of the main entrance.
