Miriam Grace "Mimi" Crook

Miriam Grace Ruck Crook, age 81 of Gallatin, passed away December 24, 2020 at her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Crook was born on September 9, 1939 in Amityville, NY to the late George Ruck, Sr. and Pauline Ruck. Mrs. Crook has recently retired from Sumner Regional Medical Center in 2018. She was a beloved Proverbs 31 woman who was known as MiMi to all. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend anyone could ask for. She touched so many lives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie L. Stepp and great-granddaughter, Rylee Barnhill. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James L. Crook; children, Kathy Overfelt (Tony) of Waverly, AL, Ronnie Stepp of Gallatin, Rhonda Crook (Tommy) of Hendersonville, Stephanie Sadler (Everette) of Westmoreland, and Andrew Flora (A.J.) of Gallatin; grandchildren, Heather Cook (Derrick) of Westmoreland, Jennifer Spain (Tim) of Covington, GA, Melissa Bagwell (Drew) of Auburn, AL, Justin Sadler (Leslie) of Nashville, Joshua Sadler (Laura) of Portland, James Thurman of Gallatin, and Christina Watkins of Gallatin; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, George Ruck of California, John Ruck (Judy) of Lewisburg, TN, Herb Ruck (Elmie) of Lebanon, Peggy Stover of North Carolina, Patty McDowell of Hendersonville, Don Ruck (Pam) of Brentwood, Bob Ruck (Tim) of Ormond Beach, FL, Gloria Conquest of Hendersonville, Terry Ruck (Lynn) of Columbia, TN, and Sherry Ruck (Louie) of Albuquerque, NM. She was loved by a host of friends who for her generous spirit, gentle strength, dignity, kind heart, and sweet laughter. A Graveside Service honoring Mimi will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, 11:00 A.M. at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Gallatin, Tennessee.
