Michael Ray Schoolcraft

Michael Ray Schoolcraft, age 82, of Hartsville, Tennessee passed away December 4, 2023. Mike was born on February 25, 1941 in Midland, Texas.

As an electrician, soldier, superintendent, manager, father, and husband, Mike Schoolcraft exemplified
honor, charity, gentleness, and kindness. Mike passed away on December 4, 2023, in Gallatin,
Tennessee, at the age of 82. Mike was a Texan, preferring the open plains of his early life in West Texas
to the places he and his family later called home such as the marshes of South Louisiana, the tropics of
Indonesia and Nigeria, the cool Scottish Lowlands, and even the pastures of East Texas and the green
hills of Hartsville in Middle Tennessee.

Mike was a lifelong learner. He was a researcher, an artist, a carpenter, a gardener, and an arborist. He
is an example to be imitated.

Mike is survived by his wife of 61 years Judy; his son Steven (Greg); his granddaughters, Raquelle and
Michaela; his brothers, Charles and Louis; and his sisters, Leona, Nelda, and Martha. Mike is preceded in death by,  his mother and father, Myrtle and O.D.; his brothers, Eddie (Pat) and George; and his sisters, Billie
and Arlene.
