Megan Emily Rotella

Megan Emily Rotella, age 35 of Hendersonville, passed away January 4, 2021 at her home. Megan was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 12, 1985 to James McGinnis and Patricia Kelly. Megan will be remembered for her sense of humor and giving spirit- she’d give you the shirt off her back. She was full of life, a friend to everyone who never met a stranger, and most importantly a wonderful mother to her daughter, Penelope. Megan is survived by her daughter, Penelope Emily Rotella; mother, Patricia Kelly; father, Jim “Buck” McGinnis; Penelope’s father, Joey Rotella; sister, Michele McNaught (Mark); brother, Kelly McGinnis (Nora); best friend, Francesca Herkert (Andrew); and numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren. A Memorial Mass to honor Megan will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. from Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville with Father Austin Gilstrap as celebrant. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the church. In keeping with CDC guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required for all in attendance.
