Mary Louise Kittel, 93, passed away in the company of loving caregivers at Harmony of Mt. Juliet, TN on Tuesday, October 25,
2022.
Born in Grand Island, NE Mary attended St. Mary’s Catholic High School. Mary lived and was a member of the Hermitage, TN
community for 61 years. She faithfully attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church for many years. She lived life to the fullest,
caring for her home, dogs, flower gardens and yard. She was known to many as the lady who walked along Lebanon Road and
made friends with everyone from the grocery clerks to her car mechanic.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Harold G. Kittel and daughter, Barbara Ann Cauthron. She is survived by her two
sons Michael Allen Kittel (Judy) and Dennis Lee Kittel (Charlene); grandchildren, Joshua Cauthron, Lisa Kittel, Julie Kittel-
Moseley (Philip), Cheryl Kittel, and Lindsey Koetje (Wes). Mary was blessed with nine great grandchildren.
Mary worked as a LPN at Donelson Hospital for many years. After retiring as an LPN she worked for American Greeting Cards
as a display marketer. Mary volunteered at Summit Hospital in the surgical waiting room and assisted in admissions. In her
later years, her favorite things were visits from her family, talking with her close neighbors, tending her flowers, feeding the
birds, and playing solitaire on her computer.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 30th for Mary and her daughter, Barbara Cauthron at
Victory Baptist Church, 1777 Tate Ln., Mt. Juliet, TN.
