Maria Paulette Watson, age 76 of Hendersonville, passed away November 8, 2022. She was born November 30, 1945 in Mobile, AL to the late Thomas Henry and Pauline Chisholm Brady.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Maria leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family, a strong-willed, never give up attitude, and staying positive in the face of adversity. She spent her early years as a mom working jobs that allowed her to spend as much time with her children as possible, working as a babysitter and a bus driver. Later, she worked as a receptionist for the Florida Department of Health for many years as well. She will be remembered for her love of baking and making candy, her abilities as a cake decorator and just simply being “crafty”.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Frank Williamson and Patricia Brady; and grandson, Scott Watson.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Garry Edward Watson; son, Randy (Deena) Watson; daughter, Rhonda (Ralph) Williams; grandchildren, Shane Watson, Patrick Edwards, Paige Edwards, and Eddie Williams.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life will be held on the same day she celebrated her birth, November 30, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Sumner Funeral and Cremation Lakeside.
