Mrs. Linda G. Schenck, 82, of Hendersonville, TN passed away September 29, 2022. She was born August 11, 1940 in Tyrone, PA, the daughter of Chester and Jessica Geist. She married Edward Schenck on October 26, 1963.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 58 years and her children: Jim (Julie) Schenck of Franklin, TN, Jennifer Schenck (Ron Ledford) of Franklin, TN, and Jessica (Andy) Luttrull of Hendersonville, TN; Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Emma Grace Schenck and Michael and Matthew Luttrull; Sister: Betty Jabbs of Fredericksburg, VA; Aunt: Sylvia Thompson of Tyrone, PA; and several nieces and a nephew.
She was a graduate of Tyrone High School where she was actively involved in music including serving as pianist for several ensembles. She became a registered nurse at the Harrisburg Polyclinic School of Nursing in Harrisburg, PA. She was a member of the Bald Eagle, PA Grange and, with her parents, actively participated in Antique Automobile Club events and activities. She was a member of the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the Companions Sunday school class, participated in the United Methodist Women, and the Carillon handbell choir. She absolutely loved playing and listening to music. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds, especially Northern cardinals. She enjoyed family trips to the beach and especially Disney World. She was a wonderful cook and always looked forward to family gatherings around the table. Most of all, she loved her family – she was a loving wife, a wonderful, supportive mother and the most amazing Nana!
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 3, 2022 in the Chapel at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside, 104 Sanders Ferry Road, Hendersonville, with Reverend Lynn Hinkle officiating. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Monday, October 3, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will occur in Pennsylvania at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
