Linda Marie Lemke

Linda Marie Lemke, age 71, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, after 19 days following her surgery for esophageal cancer.

She was born on March 16, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Lee Williams and the late Evelyn Phillips Williams.

She is survived by her partner of 25 years, M. Karolyn Howard; daughters, Dawn Judd (Jerry), Denise Ratliff (James); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Lemke is preceded in death by her son, Arthur (Artie) Tom Lemke.

Linda enjoyed 17 years as a teacher of young minds, followed by a position as an IT trainer for Keebler (which then became Kelloggs) where she also served as an IT Specialist for 20 years. In 1996 Linda began studying and practicing Healing Touch (as part of integrative medicine) and eventually went on to advance as an Instructor. Linda partnered in volunteering at Alexian Brothers hospital as a supervisor: teaching & mentoring students who volunteered supporting cancer patients.

A Celebration Gathering in memory of Linda’s life will be held in her Tennessee home on Friday, March 18th from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.

Cards and words of remembrance may be sent to the family at her home.
