Linda Mae (Matteson) Kemper, age 64, of Castalian Springs, Tennessee passed away on October 17, 2023. Linda was born on June 4, 1959 in South Kingston, Rhode Island to the late Robert Everett Matteson and Juanita Ganell Stewart of Rhode Island.
In addition to her parents Linda is preceded in death by her sister, Wanda “Bella” Lee Lutz of Brookshire, Texas.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, David Kemper; son, Don Chucta and wife Jennifer; Daughter, Ashley Unverzagt; Brother, Glen Matteson and wife Ana; sister, Christine Wells and her husband Ben; Nieces and nephews, Jesse Newman, Tammy Peterson, Chris Matteson, Shawn Matteson, Nick Matteson, Andrey Gray and Matteson Jeschke; Grandchild, Colten Chavez; Linda’s best friend of 53 years, Donna Wilson; special friends of the family, Theresa West and Caroline Harvey; and her sweet dogs, Charley and Big Daddy. Linda had many many friends, great nieces and nephews and extended family who loved her!
Linda loved animals, especially dogs, planting flowers, painting pumpkins and other yard art, she was an artist at heart like her father. She loved working at O’Charley’s in Gallatin and all her coworkers. She was generous, kind and always taking care of others. She never met a stranger!
Linda wanted a celebration of life on her Birthday so arrangements will be made locally for June of 2024. Linda’s sister will be hosting a Celebration of Life in Texas on January 13, 2024.
