Kathy Marie Arredondo

Kathy Marie Arredondo, age 78 of Hermitage, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Kathy was born on January 16, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Paul Johnson and the late Opal D. Russell Dozier. 

Kathy is survived by her son, Michael Arredondo; grandchildren, Elizabeth Arredondo and Michael Arredondo, Jr.; siblings, Carolyn Bateman, David Johnson, David Dozier, III (Tonya), John Dozier, and Tony Dozier (Kristi); several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

Kathy was a lifelong resident of the Nashville area, graduating from Antioch High School and later making her home in Hermitage with her son, Michael. She worked for many years for the Dollar General Corporation and retired in 2014. 

She was everybody’s friend, had an infectious laugh and was an all around funny person. She was always willing to help others, a confidant and a dog lover. Kathy was a Christian and very proud of her faith; she was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Mount Juliet. 

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Friday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
