Kathrine “Louise” Blankenship, 77, of Portland, Tennessee passed away Sunday November 15, 2020 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville Tn. Born February 25, 1943 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Johnetta (Cummings) Rush, 3 brothers, William, Frankie, and George (Hoot) Rush.
Louise graduated from Joelton High School, Joelton Tennessee in 1962 and went on to work in the medical field in various occupations, retiring from Portland Medical Center in 2008 after 32 years of service. She was a member of the White House Seventh-day Adventist Church. She loved to sew, paint ceramics, make crafts, cook, and bake cakes for her friends and family. She enjoyed traveling and especially visiting lighthouses around the United States and collecting miniatures from the ones she visited. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, saying goodbyes multiple times with hugs, kisses and just one more hug.
Survivors include husband, Robert of 58 years, daughters Wendy Novak and Connie (Jeff) Rhodes, grandchildren: Natalie Novak, Ellianna Novak, Madison Rhodes and Blake Rhodes. She is also survived by her siblings, Dorothy (Rush) Steimle and Tony Rush and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 2:30 PM (CST) with Visitation 1:30-2:30 PM at White House Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3660 US-31W, White House, Tennessee
