Kathleen "Kathy" Murdock

Kathleen "Kathy” Murdock, age 66, of Hendersonville, TN and Coral Springs, FL,
passed away unexpectedly on May 19th, 2023. Kathy was born on December 13th,
1956, in Queens, NY to the late James “Jim” Harkins and Marguerite “Marge” Harkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt, Georgette Harkins.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, John Murdock; her children,
Janelle Karras (Billy) and Troy Murdock (Adriana); grandchildren, Liam Murdock, Jack
Karras, Olivia Murdock, and Ava Karras; sister, Jeanne Newman; and her dogs Murphy
and Kenzie.  

Kathy graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and dedicated over 40 years of
her life to nursing. She worked in various roles at Holy Cross Hospital, as a school
nurse, in medical malpractice investigations, and recently retired as a Front Office
Manager from Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants, where she worked for over 20 years.

Kathy was a caring, giving, confident, and humble woman, who was a great friend and
motherly figure to so many. She enjoyed hosting parties, watching the Miami Heat,
planning vacations with her family, and attending social gatherings with family and
friends. Her love for her family was obvious and her favorite role was being a "Mimi" to
her four grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  A
celebration of life will be held in the coming months.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
and/or The Foundation for Fighting Blindness.
