Katherina Smith

Katherina Smith, age 85 of Gallatin, TN passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 in Gallatin. She was born December 12, 1938 in Yugoslavia to John and Katherine Welsh Flattinger.

Katherina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  She leaves a legacy of the ideal homemaker; a skilled quilter and seamstress, an excellent cook and a woman who cared deeply for her beloved family.

Katherina was preceded in death by her parents and son, Thomas Smith. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John T. Smith; son, James (Samantha) Smith; sister, Erika Smith; grandchild, Darrell (Lori) Smith; and great-grandchildren, Nash and Cecilia.

She will be laid to rest in Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in a private ceremony.
