Johnny "John" Ray Vaughn

Johnny “John” Ray Vaughn, age 61 of Murfreesboro, passed away November 28, 2020 surrounded by his family. John was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 2, 1959 to the late John Henry Vaughn and the late Mary Ann Edwards Vaughn. He was a 1978 graduate of Dupont High School, an avid motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed spur of the moment day trips with a scenic drive, and enjoyed woodworking. John was a true patriot and was a very proud American; he loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed their family game nights; his family will miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Stephanie McKinney Vaughn; children, Timothy Vaughn, Andrew Vaughn and Megan Shearin; sister, Michelle Vaughn Wright; brother, Danny Lynn Vaughn; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd at 2:30 P.M. in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Pastor Steve Hurst officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd from 1-2 P.M. at Bond Memorial Chapel, 1098 Weston Drive, Mt. Juliet, TN. Masks and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
