JOHNNY LEE ADAMSON

March 15, 1940 – November 19, 2024

Johnny Lee Adamson passed away on November 19, 2024, in Gallatin, TN at the age of 84 years old. Johnny was born on March 15, 1940 in Nashville, TN to the late George and Thelma Adamson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Leanne Adamson Morris; sisters, Shirley Foster and Peggy Adamson; and brother, Calvin Adamson.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 65 years, Willine “Dean” Adamson; daughter, Teresa Herron (Leslie); grandchildren, Christina Evert (Chad), Erica Twidle (Eric), Olivia Herron (Reggie), Austin Herron, and Jonathan Morris; great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Canaan, and Caleb Evert, Della and Reed Twidle, and Braylin Tunstill; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Johnny lived a fulfilled life as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He proudly served his community and gained many lasting friendships as the owner of Adamson Automotive for over thirty years. He never forgot anyone or anything and was a great storyteller of his life. Other than being with his family, he loved Casino slot machines, making the best chocolate pies, cobblers, and banana puddings on earth, and his fruit trees. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always prepared to offer gum, candy, or other sweet treats. His babies equally adored him. His knowledge of how to fix anything, his love, and his patience will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, a private celebration of Johnny’s life will be held at a later date.
