John Bentley Wray
Passed January 20, 2017 at home in Hendersonville, TN. Born November 18, 1926 in Russellville, KY. Survived by wife, Judy Aaron Wray, step-daughter, Andrea Simmons Polla (Magnus) of Fjaras, Sweden, grandson, Zachariah Djennas of Fjaras, Sweden, and 13 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Elwood and Nell Pedigo Wray; sisters, Ann Wray, Helen Sprague, Adeline Howle, and Nancy Moran.
Johnny served honorably in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW and a 70 year member of the American Legion Post 5 in Nashville. He worked as a sales representative in the electronics field, and later worked in real estate sales and appraisals.
Visitation and life celebration with family and friends on January 24, 2017, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Austin and Bell Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at Red Oak Grove Church Cemetery in Russellville, KY at a later date.
