John Polhemus, age 76, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, after a brief illness.
He was born on January 31, 1946, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to the late Freda Olive Hutt Polhemus and the late Lyell Larue Polhemus.
He enjoyed coffee and conversation on Thursday mornings with his buddies from Lennox Place. He loved taking trips in his motor home. Prior to that, was his motorcycle. He also loved sailing. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran. He was a beloved husband, and father, to all their children, and grandchildren. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara Polhemus; children, Cassandra Polhemus, Danielle Komenda (Kyle), Christopher Corban (Jean), Curt Corban (Tammy); grandchildren, Ava Komenda, 17, Jack Komenda, 15, Norah Komenda, 13, Ben Komenda, 11, and Cole Corban, 10.
Per John's request, his family will be scattering his ashes, in Chicago, Illinois, in the spring.
