John Douglas (Bop) Davis, Sr.

John Douglas Davis, Sr., age 79 of Hendersonville, passed away on September 28, 2017. He was born on September 2, 1938, to Albert and Carrie Davis. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His passion and hobby was his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Troy Allen Davis. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Norma Jean Davis; son, Butch Davis; daughters, Janice Goddard Harrington and Tonya (Tommy) Garrett; brother, Jimmy (Myrna) Davis; sisters, Emma Dean Grimes and Doris Hicks; grandchildren, Renee Garrett, Jesse Garrett, Doug Davis and Jimmy Davis.
His Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 1, from 12:00pm until 3:00pm; and again on Monday, October 2, from 11:00am until his Celebration of Life Service at 12:00pm from the Chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Hendersonville. Interment will follow at Nashville National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie David, Ed Zehnder, Jimmy Davis, Doug Davis, Jesse Garrett and Jimmy Hughes.
