Joel Steven Kuoni

Joel Steven Kuoni, age 64, passed away at home and surrounded by family on June 5, 2023, only days after a cancer diagnosis. 

 

Joel was born on October 23, 1958 in Hinsdale, Illinois to Earl Jay and Georgia Kuoni and raised in Glen Ellyn, Illinois with his beloved brothers Randy and Greg. He finally settled in Hendersonville, Tennessee in 2001 with his wife, Sue, who was his loving partner for over 35 years. Joel was a devoted husband, father and avid fisherman. Besides spending time with his family, Joel had a passion for golf, camping, reading, and cuddling with his cat, Sassy.  A lover of all things automotive, directing some of Illinois’ largest dealer service departments, he was a true leader in his career and loved helping others. Known as a gentle giant, Joel had a supportive word for everyone, never met a stranger and always took care of his girls. He will be missed for his history telling, optimism, jokes, and ability to love with his whole heart and make everything better.

 

 Joel is survived by his wife Sue (Packer), daughter Sarah Lockhart (Greg), brothers Randall Kuoni and Gregory Kuoni, grandson Jaxson Anderson, precious Kylie Wilson and many others. He is preceded in death by his parents Jay and Georgia, and grandparents.
