Jo Law Hill

Jo Law Hill was born in Loudon TN on April 24, 1928 and died May 29, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband William T. Hill and daughter Leigh Anne (Missy) Hill.  She is survived by daughters Pamela Campbell (Jim) and Lisa Edwards (Tom), and grandson Jay Campbell.  She resided in Hendersonville TN at the time of her passing.

Jo was a devoted homemaker and mother to her three girls.  When the girls were older, she taught grade school in Carthage TN for three years; she was very fond of her students.  She learned bridge in college and played the rest of her life, eventually earning the Life Master certification.  She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and at elementary schools in Hendersonville.

Memorials can be sent to the Bill and Jo Hill Geology Scholarship Endowment at the University of Tennessee (payable to University of Tennessee Foundation, 2240 Sutherland Avenue, Suite 102, Knoxville TN 37919, Attention: Lori Eldridge), the Sumner County Humane Society (16 Volunteer Drive, Hendersonville TN 37075), Alive Hospice (1718 Patterson Street, Nashville TN 37203), or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staffs of the Observation Unit at Summit Hospital, Alive Hospice, and Park Place for the compassionate care provided during Jo’s last days.
