Jerry Arthur Glaser, age 81, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, in Gallatin.
He was born on November 11, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Elmer Glaser and the late Mathilda "Tillie" Glaser. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1959-1961. An extraordinary man with a giving nature, he was a loyal friend and an extroverted people person who was quick to lend a hand. He was tremendously proud of his children and had a passion for fishing. The only thing he would rather do than fish would be to spend time with his grandchildren. He was also known for storytelling, his love of cats, learning, traveling, and exploring new things. He made the best of every situation, even after years of fighting his health struggles he maintained a strong faith, love of God and a positive outlook on life. He was exuberant about life and will be missed dearly by many.
He is survived by his wife Cara Alexander; son, William Glaser (Kathy); daughter, Stephanie Ransom (Kevin); grandchildren, Liam, Mason, and Matilda "Tilly" Glaser, and Michael Ransom.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Glaser; brother, Eddie Glaser; and sister Flynn Daniels.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Saundersville United Methodist Church, 710 E Main Street, Hendersonville, Tennessee, 37075.
