Jay Todd Deragon, age 63 of Gallatin, TN passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at his home. He was born August 27, 1958 in Portland, ME to Ray and Leah Merrifield Deragon.
His family and friends knew him as a man that loved to laugh, and never backed down from a challenge. Jay was a recognized author, public speaker, and a business consultant. He was known for his long, entertaining stories, which he loved to repeat often. Jay loved fiercely and deeply and he would always want to uplift those around him.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jason Deragon.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kimberly Allison Deragon; son, Joshua Deragon; daughters, Melissa Trotter and Jennifer Deragon; brother, Raoul Deragon; sisters, Connie Walker, Dee Kennemore, and Bonnie Raymond; grandchildren, Jacob Trotter and Hannah Trotter; and many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Jay’s life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 28, 2021 in the Chapel at First Baptist Church in Hendersonville with Rev. Richard Gaia officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
With respect for Jay’s wishes, his ashes to be spread in Maine at a later date.
