James Dillard Stevens

James Dillard Stevens age 85 of Portland passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in the Westmoreland Healthcare and Rehab.  He was born in Franklin, TN on April 28, 1933 to the late Walter Stevens and Anna Tucker Stevens.  He was married to Betty Jean Stevens who preceded him in death.  Mr. Stevens was a landscaper. Survivors include sons, James (Jim)  of Nolensville, John (Linda) of Lavergne, Raymond (Karen), daughters, Betty (Winford) of Lascassas and Trish (Danny) of Portland, sister, Margaret (Junior) Hartman of Nashville.  Grandchildren, Randall Stevens, Amanda Stevens, Belinda Stevens, Lesa Stevens, Jessi Curtis, Christi Green, Anthony Stevens Tommy McClure, Jason McClure, Tabitha McClure and Travis Cook.  10 Great-Grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held at The Lord's Sanctuary Church at 734 Red River Rd in Gallatin on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 11am to 2 pm with funeral services beginning at 2 PM with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating.  Burial will follow in Cross Plains Cemetery. Sumner County Funeral and Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.  615-452-9059
