James William Raney Jr

James William Raney Jr, age 72, of Cottontown, Tennessee passed away on August 6, 2023. James was born on April 1, 1951  in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James William Raney Sr. and Margaret Louise Raney.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by sister, Janice Marie Raney; and nephew, Phillip Michael Raney.

James is survived by his children, James William Raney III (Amanda) and April Raney; grandchildren, James William Raney IV, Daniel Raney, Ryin Raney (Abigail),  Arianna Raney; his great granddaughter, Ophelia Sue Raney; brothers, Alvin Joseph Raney (Sandra) and Michael Raney (Lynn); mother to his children, Robbie “Tinker” Raney; and a host of other family members, and friends.

James loved his wonderful grandchildren and fishing in his free time. James was loved by all who knew him; he will be missed more than words can say.

A Memorial Service honoring James will be held by the family at a later date.
