James “Jim” Martin Kemph, 66, passed away on December 27th, 2023, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was born on July, 28th, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois to Eugene and Rosemary Kemph.
Throughout his life, Jim was known for his kind heart, love of sports, and his unwavering dedication to his family. His commitment to his family and faith were his top priorities as a father, husband and brother.
Outside of work in sales, Jim enjoyed watching his son play sports, visiting the beach to ride jet skis, and mentoring youth in the Big Brothers program. He spent countless hours traveling the country to watch his son pursue his passion as a baseball player and rarely missed a game. In the last few years of his life, he expanded his community with his new friends at the Senior Citizens Center of Hendersonville playing weekly volleyball matches.
Jim will be remembered for his loving spirit and for never meeting a stranger. He touched the lives of many with his positive attitude and personal connections. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
Jim is survived by his wife, Kathleen, son Josh, and his sister Linda Gluck, and brothers Stephen and Richard, who will cherish his memory and carry on his legacy. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Rosemary Kemph, sister Rosemary Knox, brother Micheal Kemph, sister Roberta Sheehan, and brother Mark Kemph. He is survived my two grandchildren, Avery and Brayden Kemph, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jim will be held on January 20th, 2024, 11am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in honor of Jim.
