Ila "Demple" Parrish

Ila Demple Parrish, age 77 of Hendersonville passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Demple, as she was known to her family and friends, was a member of the Luna Lane Church of Christ in Hendersonville. She enjoyed fishing, hunting Ginseng, sewing, quilting and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Rue Crawford; 3 brothers, Sonny Crawford, Dumas Crawford, Clyde Crawford; and her sister, Gladys Wilmoth.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joe “Danny” Parrish; her son, Joe (Ruby) Parrish, Jr.; her daughters, Dana (Jeff) Hargis, Danielle Parrish and Wendy Ann (Harley) Davidson; brothers, Charles D. (Pam) Crawford and Roger Crawford; her sister, Delma (Frankie) Boone; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren
.
Her Family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, March 27, and again on Wednesday, March 28, from 10:00am until her Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am from the Chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville. Services will be conducted by Nick Rapheal. Active pallbearers will include, Josh Boone, Jacob Boone, Sam Davidson, Neil Hargis, Shannon Hargis, Gary Davidson, Keith Hargis and Anthony Davidson.

Her family would like to say a special “Thank You” to her niece and caretaker, Lana Stafford.

Interment will be in Hinson Cemetery in Clay County, Tennessee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luna Lane Church of Christ at P.O. Box 904, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
