Howard Brent Woodis, age 78 of White House, passed away October 28, 2022 surrounded by his family. Brent was born on July 24, 1944 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to the late Harry Woodis and the late Grace Phillips Woodis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Annette Woodis. Brent is survived by his sons, Lance Woodis, Brad Woodis (Kelly), and Shane Stafford (D'Ann); grandchildren, Brittanye Schexnayder, Colby Woodis (Paige), Lindsey Camp (Jon), Gracie Baids (Brian), Meagan Waller (Chris), Hollie Tyler (J.D.), Madie Pruitt (Jamison), Eli Woodis, and Skyler Jordan; great-grandchildren, Harper Waller, Wynston Pruitt, Bailey and Blythe Schexnayder, and Aiden, Chloe and Rory Camp; sisters, Martha Young and Noni Woodson; several nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers will be Colby Woodis, Eli Woodis, Brian Baids, Jamison Pruitt, Jason Young, and Chris Waller. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Woodson, Bobby Phillips, Rick Herod, Dave Hall, Cliff Presley, Jim Kline, and John Rippy, Jr. Whether he answered to Daddy, Grandnana, Gaga, or Grandaddy, one thing was always true–he loved his family more than anything. More than golf, more than Vanderbilt or the Titans, more than Reese’s peanut butter cups, his family was first. His wit and pride in dressing well was unmatched, and he was a fierce friend. His love of sports was contagious and no one could leave his home before laughing at one of his stories. His dedication to his faith and our family will be felt for generations to come. Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 P.M., Friday, November 4, 2022 at Goodlettsville Church, 226 S. Main Street in Goodlettsville. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. and Friday from 10:00 A.M., both at the church.
