Harriett R. Dorris

Harriett R. Dorris, age 88 of Greenbrier, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2022. Mrs. Dorris was born on August 15, 1933 in Adairville, Kentucky to the late Wallace and Verna Rutherford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Dorris; and siblings, LaVergne Wilson and Mary Agnes Ratliff. She is survived by her daughters, S. Renee Dorris and Teresa Haynes (Mike); grandchildren, Stephanie Haynes (Chris Nabors), Chris Haynes (Melissa), and Clint Haynes (Lacie); great-grandchildren, Quincy, Brayden, Jackson, Jordan, Oliver, and Elsie Haynes; and sisters, Patricia Ann “Charlie” Rhea (Richard) and Janet Lirette (Jess). Mrs. Dorris was a Devout Christian and member of Hillcrest Church of Christ in Springfield. She was a talented quilter and seamstress; she enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening and golfing. Mrs. Dorris lived a life of service and enjoyed helping others. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Church of Christ in Springfield, TN with Bro. Marvin Crouch officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
